ERC stands for - Employee Retention Credit. It is a credit in the form of a non-repayable grant that was established by the US Cares Act. The ERC is for small businesses that were affected by the covid pandemic in 2020 and 2021. Basically this is free money that the US government is giving businesses for keeping their W2 employees on their payroll during covid.
